jelly drop

having some slight problems

well today i tried a test animaton, using the plastic jelly mold, just to get a sense if i could actually pull this style off. i did a simple jellyjump and imported i into premier and then exported it into tiffs for photoshop so that i could remove he white background and my hands lol.

Bad news is removeing my hand was a big pain. it was covering the jelly i was moving and when i try to mask around the jelly i loose some of its shape becuase the hand is in the way lol. But now im molding the jelly now with clear string in the middle, so hopefully i can keep my hands out of camra while maintaining the jellys forms. will re start again in an hour once jellyhas set.

i will also need to plan out in detail what happens in everyshot so i dont waste time filming things i do not need.

research into styles and eye's for my jelly character

I've decided to go for a simple set of eyes for my jelly character. Black round oval eyes i think will work well with my red jelly. I want it look simple yet still show some basic emotion.

how to do greenscreen in after effects

inital idea

ok this is going to be really quick as this is just a quick idea that i had but i like it.

a baby jelly man jumps along the surface onto this plate. out of no where mr big jelly falls down and splats him on the plate. big jelly looks around looking happy. Then another baby jelly jumps into screen over to the big jelly. they both look at each other. baby jelly tuanting the big one. baby jelly runs of and big jelly chases after him of screen. this endbit might change.

anyway my idea is based on 3d retoscopeing of a jelly. a 3d background eviorment for the jellys to be in made in maya. i will need to use greenscreen most likely.

yay Blog made * new project*

all i know so far is. im on my own i think... im doing brief number 3. and the animation has to be 30 seconds maximum. ive downloaded adobe premier aswell on my pc which is latest version so that should help me on the editing side which will be important for this one. the proper brief will be posted on here soon.
